Problem / Request

In 2009 Digital Unity won the tender to complete the technical build of the Doncaster Chamber website which was to include the management of events, members and news articles. The specification over the past years has grown to include the business awards module to allow companies to fill in award entries online and judges to complete online scoring along with an online business plan.

Solution

Using U-Cloud CRM we built on this to provide a CRM and CMS all in one allowing our client to upload all their current clients and allow those members the ability to administer their own details which cut down on staff time.

The largest time saving plugin has been the events module which allows members and non members to book themselves on events, the plugin automates 90% of the event management task including delegate lists, table plans and printing of badges. Reserve lists are built when events become full and upon event completion emails are sent out to delegates with delegate lists and appropriate material and / or downloads.

The system allows our client to add news and pages to the site with ease and also has workflow as standard so that staff members can write content and submit for approval to management.
